New Mornings is a community mental health support organisation based in Ulverstone, Tasmania, and recently won the Tasmanian Suicide Network’s Communities in Action Award for suicide prevention. New Mornings provide a range of community-based mental health support programs to adults and children to increase wellbeing, resilience, and self-esteem. This includes a focus on individuals with complex mental health, and those who are isolated, marginalised or vulnerable. The committed army of 50 volunteers include people from many different backgrounds and experiences, and are supported by a professional, suitably qualified team of 10 staff, including a Mental Health Clinical Support Team.New Mornings respond to community need by meeting members of the community right where they are - from school students with homes of trauma or dysfunction, to adults with unresolved grief, isolation or complex mental health.
