Ohio Alliance for Arts Education

It is the mission of the Ohio Alliance for Arts Education (OAAE) to ensure that the arts are an integral part of the education of every Ohioan.Since 1974 OAAE has provided services and resources that support high quality arts education in-school, out-of-school, and in communities statewide. OAAE works at the federal, state, and local levels to develop, support, and encourage participation in the arts. OAAE is affiliated with the Kennedy Center Alliance for Arts Education Network, and is an active member of the State Arts Action Network of Americans for the Arts. OAAE is a leader in the areas of professional development and building arts-based collaborations. OAAE's Community Arts Education programs, serving Columbus and Franklin County, center on developing creativity and lifelong learning skills in K-12 youth and young adults through arts programming in schools and outside of school hours. OAAE’s programs also include support for dozens of local arts organizations through a county-wide project grant program called Franklin County Neighborhood Arts.
