Re_Store and the Connecting Communities Collective

The Connecting Communities Collective is a partnership of charities in the Oban area. It grew from the understanding that the whole is greater than the sum of its parts; by working together, essential sector orgs can better use resources, share learning, and reach more people in our communities. We aim to strengthen capacity for partnerships, and are working to encourage and support more connections. In 2024, we opened our community shop - Re_Store, which sells affordable clothing, books and homewares and promotes sustainability. It is "more than a charity shop" as we also have a Rescued Food Project and we run sewing and repair workshops.
