That is the reason I became a Profit Coach.Two years ago I become an accredited Profit First Professional, there are only 20-30 of us in the whole of the UK and just a handful in Scotland.My background is finance, planning and performance within the oil & gas industry. For over 20 years I worked with managers and leaders to help them understand and improve the performance of their business. When I left the industry six years ago I realised that what I had learned was applicable to any business – regardless of size or sector.I left with three goals• Live in Edinburgh• Do something with property• Make a difference to small businessesI moved to Edinburgh in 2020, I have built a buy-to-let portfolio and have been a Business Coach and now a Profit Coach for the last 5 years.‘Profit First’ by Mike Michalowicz was recommend to me 4 years ago. I read it and I was hooked immediately. Straight away I implemented it in my coaching and property businesses. I also apply it in my personal life and it has played a major part in allowing us to move and have our dream home in Edinburgh.Since I left corporate life I have worked with over 50 small businesses and their owners, helping them to understand their numbers and use them to look forward to see what the future could look like.
