Reviving the Islamic Sisterhood for Empowerment

RISE is on a mission to amplify the voice and power of Muslim women. Through storytelling, leadership development and civic engagement, we are building a movement. We imagine a future where all Muslim women are connected, reflected, celebrated and emboldened.Reviving Sisterhood builds and supports networks of Muslim women in leadership—educating and empowering our sisters to take on positions of power. Through our leadership development program, we train them to serve on commissions, boards, and grant committees. Our annual leadership conference, attended by 350+ Muslim women, features skill-building workshops on subjects such as advocacy, public speaking, and self-care. We believe that when Muslim women see those who look like themselves in positions of success, they realize that they have the potential to pursue those roles. As actor Geena Davis says: "If she can see it, she can be it."
