Saskatchewan Mycological Working Group

We, as a group of ordinary citizens interested in mycology, are dedicated to providing information on all aspects of fungi, including their ecological roles, biodiversity, and sustainable interactions.Recognizing the growing interest in mushroom foraging, we educate the public on the identification of fungi, their uses, and ethical harvesting practices that protect habitats and safeguard endangered species.Through scientific research, community engagement, and knowledge-sharing, we promote a deeper understanding of fungi and their essential contributions to Saskatchewan’s natural ecosystems.We believe that through these community engagements we will help individuals develop a respect and lifelong interest in the world of fungi.
