Sebastian Grubb

Sebastian Grubb is an award-winning dance artist and movement coach based in Northern Europe and California. He grew up running in the mountains of Santa Cruz, then majored in philosophy while falling in love with modern dance. Sebastian has been teaching dance and biomechanics since 2007. He also choreographed, performed and toured contemporary dance works throughout the U.S. and overseas from 2007-2019. From 2008-2024 he ran Sebastian's Functional Fitness, an outdoor workout company in San Francisco. In 2011 Sebastian became a certified Axis Syllabus Teacher and in 2018 he founded AGILE BEAST, an updated movement training program for modern human primates. Sebastian now teaches integrated movement and applied anatomy to movers of all kinds via 1:1 coaching and group workshops that emphasize deep sensing, technical refinement, and community.
