Mary has a passion for connecting Women to their inner strength and confidence thru Krav Maga Self Defense in a trauma informed setting. Empowering body, mind, and spirit to overcome difficult circumstances. Dr. Mary Tichi PhD, MBA brings 25+ years of experience on creating strategic paths to health, wellness, and overall personal and professional wellbeing, as well as providing motivation, inspiration and accountability with teaching, coaching, and mentoring. Mary is an Author of numerous publications including, the Health & Fitness Motivational Workbook “Got HealthStyle” and has also served multiple coaching and mentoring roles in the fitness and mixed martial arts industry, such as: strength & endurance racing teams, weight-loss journeys, natural health educator, sports and nutrition brand ambassador and more . Mary is a Black Belt Instructor in Self Defense style Krav Maga, holds a Brown belt in Shotokan Karate, has 2years training in combative Jiu Jitsu, and is a Certified Instructor in Machida MMA Self Defense Karate. Mary has instructed kids programs of Krav Maga and Karate at Global Martial Arts since 2022 as well as serving as the Martial Arts Instructor in the San Diego community for Phoenix Sports Programs. Mary specializes in Women's Empowered Self Defense using Krav Maga methodology based on our body's natural movements, and has created a program designed for all body types, all fitness levels and all ages in a safe and trauma informed environment. This program was recently voted as a 2024 Neighborhood Favorite on Nextdoor. Additionally, the Women's Empowered Self Defense program has partnered with fodada, an International nonprofit celebrating International Women's Self Defense day, which has served more than 30,000 women to date, across 9 countries. Mary offers private single and group training sessions to accommodate schedules. As a Survivor herself, Dr. Tichi brings a confidence and understanding to those who have experienced past challenges.
