Sense of Slow offers gatherings of collective rest, facilitating yoga nidra sound baths for restorative community experiences.Slowing down in a world of ever-increasing momentum can be challenging with feelings of disconnection and loneliness. My mission is to support the slow down journey with nourishing offerings and gatherings.I'm Kirstie Ussher(she/her) a committed rester and student of the healing arts. After receiving a prescription to rest in 2019 when diagnosed with ME/CFS meant I had to radically change my life. It was a slow and gradual journey of healing through lots of deep rest, spiritual practice, and connecting with my whakapapa and community. I love to weave these together and share embodied rest experiences to help others feel the medicinal benefits of resting in community.Studies include 200 hours Embodied Flow YTT, Yoga Nidra Teacher Training with Kawai Purapura, Authentic Relating L1, Tibetan Singing Bowls training with Guy Beider and Chrystal Heals, Yin & Mindfulness Teacher Training with Sarah Owen, Demystifying Mindfulness Certificate Leiden University, Embodied Anatomy with Jule Teetsov, 6 months residential at Dharma Gaia Mindfulness Centre, and ongoing learning in the school of life.
