Shannon Tomac

Shannon Tomac is a graphic designer and teaching artist. She grew up in the rural Midwest, nurtured by a family of crafters, teachers and DIYers. She loved making art as a kid, and turned it into a career. Her biggest achievements so far include interning at the Smithsonian Institution’s National Museum of American History, working for a decade as a “Store Artist” for Whole Foods Market in the Mid-Atlantic region, establishing her own freelance design and consulting firm in 2013, teaching youth at various camps and programs across Maryland and DC such as the Digital Media Academy at Georgetown University, and nurturing the creativity of her own middle-school daughter as she grows. It’s no “Accident” she moved to Northern Garrett County from urban Montgomery County last fall, and is excited to relate and share her skills in a rural community again.
