The Mission of the Soque River Watershed Association is to work together with individuals and organizations to protect and restore Habersham County’s Soque River, its tributaries and watershed. Our projects and initiatives prevent over 5,500 tons of sediment from entering the Soque each year and have resulted in the entire Soque Watershed being removed from the Georgia EPD's list of impaired waters for fecal coliform. Our work focuses on providing resources and funding to directly improve water quality in the Soque and its tributaries. We also strive to help educate others about the amazing resource that begins and ends in Habersham County.
