Southern University Alumni Fed-Dallas Chapter

The Southern University Alumni Federation - Dallas Chapter was established on April 10, 1955. Since its inception, the chapter has consistently engaged in fundraising opportunities to generate scholarship funds which assist students from North Texas who attend Southern University.The Dallas Chapter's mission is to support the Southern University Alumni Federation's goal to promote and enhance the Southern University System's status as a premier center for higher education. The Southern University System is the only Historically Black College and University (HBCU) system in the world. The Southern University System consist of 5 campuses across the state of Louisiana: Southern University and A&M College, Southern University Agricultural Research and Extension Center and the Southern University Law Center, all located in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Additional campuses are Southern University located in Shreveport, Louisiana and Southern University located in New Orleans, Louisiana.
