Special Reach

Special Reach is a year-round nonprofit program that supports children with developmental delays and their families through creative, inclusive, and community-centered services. We provide true respite for caregivers with the help of qualified staff, including a medical staff, while focusing on each child's developmental, emotional, and physical well-being.Our programs include themed weekly “Party Nights” during the school year—fun, inclusive events like Homecoming and Prom—and seasonal Adventure Programs during school breaks. In the summer, children enjoy our Social Club and weekday programs featuring activities like lazy river fun and special guests.Each child benefits from one-on-one attention from trained, school-age volunteers, helping to build friendships, fight social stigma, and promote inclusion. Volunteers gain leadership and caregiving experience, while returning alumni serve as mentors and positive role models.We’re committed to accessibility by offering scholarships, transportation and registration support to ensure every child has a chance to thrive.
