SPLANG!

SPLANG! is an organization dedicated to promoting the Scottish Gaelic language in North America, especially in and around the regions of Kentucky, USA and Alberta, Canada, where its founders - Adam Dahmer and Dhanya Baird - were raised.Scottish Gaelic cultural events by SPLANG! include cèilidh dances, traditional cèilidhs (Gaelic song and storytelling circles), Gaelic song workshops, Gaelic language workshops, and public performances at Renaissance fairs and Highland games.In delivering its programing, SPLANG! often works in tandem with partner organizations, such the St. Andrew-Caledonian Society of Calgary (SACSC), An Comunn Gàidhealach Aimèireaganach (ACGA), East Tennessee State University (ETSU), and the Irish Cultural Society of Calgary (ICS), among others.
