Stephen Fries - On the Food Scene

Stephen Fries brings you the taste of local food and beyond. He was the New Haven Register/Hearst Media CT Food Columnist for 12 years. He is currently a food and culinary travel columnist for several Media News Group suburban Philadelphia newspapers, both print and online. Depending on the feature several other Media News Group publications in the U.S. have published his work.Stephen retired in July of 2022, from Gateway Community College in New Haven, CT after 36 years as Professor & Coordinator of the hospitality management programs. He was granted the status of Professor Emeritus and is now an adjunct Professor at the college.He is a Board Member of the International Association of Culinary Professionals (IACP).He is the founder and co-host, along with Chris Bartlett of "Worth Tasting," the culinary walking tour of downtown New Haven.
