Why Support Swing Into Their Dreams (SITD)?¨HBCU Swing Into Their Dreams Golf Tournament was chartered in 2019 and has been committed to excellence in all aspects.¨ The rising costs of college and the student loan debt crises are two majorreasons this event was created.¨ Supporters are crucial to the success of many students who are workingtoward a bright future, but may lack the resources they need to get there.¨ Statistically, HBCUs outperform non-HBCU institutions in retaining andgraduating first- generation, low-income African American students.¨ Diversity within college graduates is vital because, more voices from allcorners of the United States make us a better formed, & positive, successful society.¨ Making college affordable, & supporting African American students whoaspire to play golf while seeking degrees and careers in science, technology,engineering and mathematics play a crucial role in remaining globallycompetitive .
