She is also a sought after speaker and has presented at numerous National and International Conferences and Forums.Prior to her work in the Mental Health field, Wendy worked at local, state and national management level with five international Fortune 500 companies and understands firsthand the challenges of managing staff, particularly where mental health issues may be present.Wendy has been recognised nationally for her work as the 2017 recipient of the National LiFE Award for Excellence in Suicide Prevention, Community Development and here in Tasmania as the 2016 recipient of the Tasmanian Governments LiFE Award for Outstanding Contribution to Suicide Prevention.With a strong belief that mentally healthy workplaces and communities play a vital part in people’s overall wellbeing, Wendy, a Master Mental Health First Aid trainer, has developed the Talking About…suite of training programs, incorporating the successful Company/Community Champions program, committed to helping business, organisations, individuals and whole communities learn how to maintain their mental health and to recognise and respond to those impacted by mental health problems, suicide, and suicide loss.
