Tara Sound and Music

Tara is a professional musician, music teacher and vocal coach who is currently on the pathway to completing her Level 2 Qualification in Sound Healing with the International Sound Healing Academy.Tara has used music to create meaningful connections for most of her life through performing in festival and function bands and teaching music in various environments including special schools, care homes and in community settings. The move to specifically study the healing power of sounds was a natural step to deepen her understanding of how music and sounds can positively alter ones physical, emotional and spiritual state through deep listening, intention setting and energetic interaction with specific sounds. Sound Healing is an ancient practice that can reform neurological pathways in the brain and encourage healthy regeneration of cells to aid in physical healing as well as emotional and spiritual growth.Tara uses a mix of both ancient and modern sound healing instruments including Tibetan singing bowls, Crystal bowls, gongs, Koshi chimes, drums and her soothing voice to create the perfect environment for relaxation, rejuvenation and healing. She also likes to include techniques of ‘healthy humming’ before settling into meditation and sound which is a nourishing way to connect with the body, release tension and promote better health and wellbeing
