Born into a family of chefs, Sejla grew up surrounded by the aromas of sizzling onions, freshly baked bread, and stews simmering for hours, but ironically, food was never her passion as a child. That changed at 14, when flavours began to tell stories and meals became moments of magic.By the age of 19, she was already gathering friends around the table in her mother’s flat, discovering that cooking was more than just nourishment; it was connection, warmth, and love.Today, Sejla brings that same spirit to her Taste of Sarajevo supper club: a celebration of heritage, hospitality, and creativity. Each evening blends the rich, comforting flavours of traditional Balkan cuisine with refined Western influences; think slow-cooked stews with a modern twist, flaky pastries that carry childhood memories, and seasonal ingredients reimagined with flair.Inspired by the women who raised her—especially her grandmother, whose pogača and homemade cheese are still etched into her senses—Sejla’s dishes are steeped in nostalgia yet alive with reinvention.
