The B Strong Group

The B Strong Group is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded to spread awareness of sickle cell disease through education, advocacy and empowerment. We host two annual community events a Birthday Bash & Blood Drive on the last Saturday in March and a Cycle for Sickle Cell & Blood Drive on the last Saturday in August. Both events are in partnership with Richland County Recreation Commission and the American Red Cross. We also host four blood drives per year in partnership with the American Red Cross (March, June, August, and December. Our goal is to make quarterly donations (toys, socks, blankets, bags, snacks, drinks, etc) to both the Children and the Adult sickle cell clinics. We host vitual discussions via our Tuesday Chat which streams live on Facebook and YouTube. We also host our Project Empower which are monthly workshops for caregivers of sickle cell patients. These workshops are designed to empower and support our caregivers.
