The Dalles Main Street Program

The Dalles Main Street is a community driven organization dedicated to creating and maintaining a vibrant and thriving downtown. We foster community awareness of our unique history and work cooperatively with other organizations and businesses on projects that benefit The Dalles and the downtown core. The Main Street Organization is a nationally recognized process that assists struggling towns and communities with a proven process of organization, promotion, design, and business revitalization to improve the health of the downtown area and create a prosperous community for all.Since implementation in 2013, The Dalles Main Street has seen great success in a number of areas, including numerous community cleanup and beautification projects, historic restoration of the IOOF building, supporting the renovation of the historic Elk’s building into the National Neon Sign Museum, adding parklets and additional green space, assisting with the visitors from the Cruise lines, installing bike racks and information kiosks, coordinating the annual Trick-or-Treat events and photos with Santa in the Downtown and much much more!
