The Orange Duffel Bag Initiative (ODBI), a 501c3 public charity, provides certified coaching, curricula, and ongoing advocacy to support students in need to achieve and succeed!Since 2010, more than 2000 high school and college students, experiencing homelessness or foster care, of diverse races, ethnicities, cultures, and gender identities, have graduated ODBI programs. ODBI helps our most vulnerable students improve self-awareness, connect with caring adults and community resources, overcome social and economic barriers, and access education and employment opportunities—the surest pathway out of poverty toward a life of economic equity.ODBI is recipient of Emory University’s Martin Luther King Jr. Community Service Award. A Qualified Foster Care Organization, ODBI is designated to receive pre-approved Georgia Fostering Success Act Tax Credit donations for our students in care. Ten years of audited financials show 85¢+ of each dollar donated to ODBI goes to student programs.
