Philosophy The “Origin” Hip Hop Cultural Center is dedicated to bring awareness and understanding of the physical, social, emotional, cognitive,creative cultur...al and educational values of the Hip Hop Culture. We know that if taught properly that these values are immeasurable. It is our goal to bring to light THE TRUE meaning of Hip Hop by teaching it’s History, Foundation, Technique and Culture and dispel any negative Stereotypes brought forth forth by it’s commercialization. Students will learn the 4 basic elements of Hip Hop as well as 5 additional elements derived from its growth. We pride ourselves in teaching our youth to tie the Hip Hop Culture into the California Department of Education Content Standards to enhance learning. Content standards were designed to encourage the highest achievement of every student, by defining the knowledge, concepts, and skills that students should acquire at each grade level. (K-12). We also intend to gives adults the opportunity to be involved
