Coach T is an accomplished collegiate track and field coach who has rapidly made a name for himself by building competitive programs and guiding student-athletes to record-breaking success. His leadership, dedication, and strategic approach to coaching have earned him multiple national honors and elevated the performance of both men's and women’s teams at the NCAA Division II level.In 2025, Tamaj was recognized as a finalist for the USTFCCCA Women’s Coach of the Year for both the indoor and outdoor seasons, as well as a finalist for the USTFCCCA Men’s Outdoor Coach of the Year. These accolades reflect his commitment to athlete development and his ability to lead programs to new heights.Under his guidance, the program celebrated its first-ever NCAA Division II Indoor National Provisional Qualifiers in the Men’s 60m Dash, Men’s Triple Jump, and Women’s Long Jump. During the outdoor season, he coached athletes to provisional qualifying marks in the Men’s 100m, 4x100m relay, and two Triple Jumpers, as well as in the Women’s Javelin, Triple Jump, and Long Jump.Coach T’s athletes consistently earn individual recognition. His athletes have achieved 20 First Team All-Conference honors, 30 Second Team All-Conference selections, and 9 All-Conference Honorable Mentions. He also emphasizes academic success, with 18 student-athletes receiving GAC Distinguished Academic Honors.
