Timeline Choir, conducted by Stef Conner and Claire Robins, is a friendly and light-hearted but artistically ambitious choir with a mission to celebrate history and heritage in song. Based in Leith Hill (Surrey) and Cambridge (Cambs), the groups rehearse on weekday evenings during term time and are always excited to welcome new members.Repertoire includes a mixture of folk, medieval and renaissance music, English choral works and vintage popular songs, all specially arranged so that non-sight-readers and sight-readers alike can learn at a good pace and feel nurtured and challenged in equal measure. Stef Conner’s philosophy in directing the choir is that supportiveness, humour and good fun should be balanced with musical ambitiousness at all times. You do not have be able to read music to join, but prospective members should expect to be challenged by the unusual, beautiful and exciting ancient music and innovative performance settings, which push both performers and audiences right out of their comfort zones!
