I am a former professional footballer, who played at all level of football, including grass roots, amateur and non-league. I had 8 years as a professional, playing for clubs such as Stoke City, Leyton Orient, Cardiff City, Bury, and Hull City. I am passionate about the history of black footballers, and am happy to celebrate players that played at various levels from the seventies, including those who went on to become professionals. This event is about celebrating ALL achievements, regardless of what level you played at, and how barriers were slowly broken down, allowing for more opportunities for young black footballers to progress. The event is also sponsored by RED CARD GAMBLING SUPPORT PROJECT, an organization dedicated to promoting gambling awareness and education, particularly within the ethnic minority communities.
