UNIK for Education

UNIK is an Acronym derived from (Uni)form and Boo(k). Unik for Education was launched in July of 2016 and was registered as a 501(C) (3) in the State of New York on March 16 2018. The registered non profit organization seeks to assist a student in easing their expenses in an area where our family struggled. Unik's mission/Vision is to give an underprivileged student from the Ti Rocher Micoud Combined School, in Saint Lucia who has succeeded the Common Entrance Exam and will be attending Micoud Secondary School or Vieux Fort Comprehensive Secondary School a stipend towards buying books and uniforms plus a bag pack of school supplies. As we know these are quite expensive and can be a challenge for a family that is struggling financially.In addition, on March 2020 UNIK launched it's 1st International Women's Day event. The event was created to bring awareness to issues that affect the women in our community and are considered taboo . It provides a safe place for empowerment, support and networking. All this ties in with our mission of education.Any proceeds/donations generated from Unik's events goes towards assisting with the yearly scholarships and school supplies.
