Vernacular Architecture Forum, New England Chapter

The New England Chapter of the Vernacular Architecture Forum was the first regional chapter established by the VAF. Membership in VAF-NE is a benefit of membership for all VAF members resident in the six New England states of Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Vermont.The chapter brings together individuals from a variety of academic and professional communities who share an interest in historic buildings and landscapes, within New England and beyond it. We host three or four field trips per year to sites throughout the region. In addition, an annual chapter meeting brings members together to hear about recent research and to discuss research and field work challenges.VAF-NE is incorporated in Massachusetts as a 501(c)(3), with tax exempt status established with the Internal Revenue Service.
