WMU Executive Development

The World Maritime University (WMU) was established in 1983 by the International Maritime Organization, a United Nations specialised agency. Our mission is to serve the global maritime community as a centre of excellence and IMO’s apex institution for high-level maritime education and research. WMU offers specialised postgraduate education in maritime affairs, with programmes leading to the award of PhD, MSc, or Postgraduate Diploma. The University also carries out a wide range of maritime research.In addition to the regular programmes at WMU, professional development courses in a variety of subjects are given both at WMU and on other locations around the world.
