World Institute of Avasthology

The World Institute of Avasthology is a 501c(3) non-profit since 1971 founded by Benito F. Reyes, who opened the World University in Ojai to provide spiritual education focused on learning about one’s true self. In 2018, the Institute was moved to Santa Rosa Valley, and Avastha was born. Founding board members started working on a new concept of a spiritual garden as a place of restoration and self-reflection.Avastha in Sanskrit means “awareness”; Avasthology then is the realization of human awareness. In the spirit of its founder, Avastha’s charitable purpose is to raise spirituality and awareness through contemplating the great works of all world-view religions and beliefs that promote inclusivity and acceptance.
