Youth Democracy Institute (YDI) is a Virginia-based nonprofit dedicated to empowering young people to lead, advocate, and shape their communities. Through hands-on camps, civic learning experiences, and leadership development programs, YDI helps students build confidence, communication skills, and a strong understanding of how government works. Founded by education and policy experts, YDI is rooted in positive youth development and committed to making civic learning fun, relevant, and inspiring for the next generation of changemakers.
